Three Centuries of Black History (Saturday Speakers Series with the Armed Forces Heritage Museum partners)
Kelly Atkinson, Marine Corps Veteran and Vice President of the Montford Point Marines Association will present a program on the history of this organization– the first African Americans to serve in a segregated Marine Corps. Learn about their experiences as they gained the “Right to Fight” as combat Marines in World War II. On display will be objects and documents from BCHS collections highlighting the African American story in Burlington County during the 18th and 19th centuries. Q and A, refreshments, and tours of the campus including the Captain James Lawrence House.
Suggested donation $5 per person.

Billy Terrell, noted songwriter/producer/musician/comedian and Vietnam veteran with over 2000 commercially released recordings to his credit, speaks to Music-Memories-Anecdotes, and Joy. In this performance Terrell sings and shares his interesting life experiences with video clips and slides including his experience during the Viet Nam War (1966-67).
