Travel back in time with us and see what it takes to be a soldier in the Continental Army. Experience what life was like for a soldier through their clothes, food, and re-enactor demonstrations.

- Revolutionary New Jersey Unearthed: An Archaeologist Explores the American Revolution, May 31, 2026 2-4 p.m.
Join us as we welcome Dr. Richard Veit from Monmouth University as he explores the American Revolution in New Jersey from an archaeological perspective. Battlefields and skirmishes, encampments and fortifications, shipwrecks and monuments are all examined. These material traces of a storied period in American history, have the potential to rewrite history. Although the last shots were fired over 250 years ago, traces of the American Revolution still surround us and the ideas that motivated the Revolutionary generation continue to echo today.

Join us as we welcome living historian Stacy Roth as she presents her first-person interpretive storytelling presentation, “Over Here, Molly Pitcher: Stories of a Woman of the Army in the American Revolution.”

Join us and the Burlingtonnj250 Committee for a live reading of the Declaration of Independence with musical and artistic performances. Event takes place at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Burlington.
