        Our Story<\/h3>\n

        A 501C (3) organization, BCHS believes in the daily relevance of history and seeks ways to enliven it for the public in dynamic and exciting ways.<\/p>\n

        Since 1915, we have served Burlington County residents and visitors, acquiring and preserving historical artifacts and buildings, encouraging research and study, offering tours and educational programs.\u00a0 BCHS is a vital educational resource for county educational institution, local and county government representatives, area businesses and scholars nationwide.<\/p>\n

        Governed by a board of 15 trustees, elected to 3 year terms, the Society is supported by hundreds of members, a dedicated corps of volunteers and a full-time, professional staff.<\/p>\n

        The campus of the Burlington County Historical Society is made up of the Bard How House (home of the How Family at Home interactive exhibit, the James Fenimore Cooper birthplace, the Captain Lawrence birthplace and the Corson Poley Center (home to the Delia Biddle Pugh Research Library and the Society\u2019s museum galleries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

        Mission<\/strong><\/h2>\n

        The mission of the Burlington County Historical Society (BCHS) and the Children\u2019s History Center is to engage children and families in historic play, spark curiosity about the past, and develop the insights and skills required to build community and create a better future.<\/p>\n

        Vision<\/strong><\/h2>\n

        The Burlington County Historical Society will create an interactive Children\u2019s History Center where children and families have fun learning about the history of Burlington County.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
